Controls Engineer

Controls Engineer Off Shift Hours: M-F 4pm-2am CST Chicagoland Area (west) Food & Beverage Manufacturing/Engineering Bachelors Degree in Engineering with 3+ years of experience preferred. Open to new grads with internship or 1+ years of experience. Will also consider experienced Controls Engineers without a 4 year degree. 3 to 5 years of process industry related experience with automation control, PLC Ladder Logic programming, HMI design and configure. Programming Logic Controllers (PLCs) (e.g. Allen-Bradley, Siemens). Dealing with RSLogix 5000, RSLogix 500, FactoryTalk Studio, and Rslinx on regular basis. Hands on PLC controls system knowledge, PLC programming, instrument programming and integration. The HMI work will be a lot of monitoring alarms rather than designing from scratch, but HMI design is a big Plus Hands-on troubleshooting of existing control systems, instruments and VFD issues Strong understanding of electrical schematics Self-starter, team player, good attitude, attention to detail and accuracy Good communication skills
