Position Overview: Join the dynamic legal team at Harris Keenan & Goldfarb as a Trial Preparation Paralegal and be at the forefront of personal injury and medical malpractice litigation. In this pivotal role, you will support attorneys during every stage of trial preparation, ensuring that our clients receive the best possible legal representation. Your contributions will directly impact case outcomes, making a meaningful difference in the pursuit of justice for those who have been wronged. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with trial attorneys, associates, and clients throughout the trial process. Subpoena and coordinate to ensure that all medical records and other evidence is obtained and in admissible form. Organize and manage comprehensive trial binders, exhibits, and evidence. Coordinate with expert witnesses, ensuring timely communication and documentation. Facilitate professional interactions with opposing counsel and court officials. Maintain firm-wide calendars, tracking key trial dates and deadlines to ensure seamless case management. Requirements: 2-5 years of experience in a paralegal or legal support role with a focus on trial preparation. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently. Previous trial preparation experience is required; courtroom experience is a plus. Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is preferred, but not required. Experience in both plaintiff and defense work is welcomed, with a preference for personal injury and medical malpractice cases. Compensation: $55,000-$65,000 per year plus bonus, commensurate with experience.
