MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) Engineer - Chicago, IL (Remote role) Our company is a 5-year-old fast growing, boutique engineering firm specializing in MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) solutions. Our organization is currently seeking a highly skilled MEP Project Engineer to join our team and contribute to the continued success of our projects. Compensation : $90,000 - $100,000 Base Salary + Performance Bonus 10% - 20%, Benefits, 401k Match, Flexible PTO. Schedule : Remote position based in Chicago, IL area - traveling within an hour to customer sites 1x or 2x a week. Overview: As an MEP Project Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the planning, coordination, design, and execution of MEP projects. You will collaborate with the internalteam, architects, and construction professionals to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality projects. The MEP Project Engineerwill coordinate projects from start to final delivery, including full responsibility for the design of projects they are responsible for. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in MEP engineering, project management, and a passion for delivering innovative, quality solutions. Key Responsibilities: Project Planning and Coordination: Lead the planning and coordination of MEP projects from concept to completion. Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to develop comprehensive project plans. Conduct site visits to survey and document existing MEP systems for projects consisting of renovation/retrofit of existing buildings. Design and Engineering: Conduct detailed design and engineering analysis for MEP systems. Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations. Budget and Cost Control: Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring financial objectives are met. Implement cost-effective measures without compromising quality. Quality Assurance: Oversee the implementation of quality assurance and control measures throughout the project lifecycle. Conduct regular inspections to ensure work meets high-quality standards. Client Communication: Maintain regular communication with clients to understand project requirements and expectations. Address client concerns promptly and professionally. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, or Architectural Engineering Or equivalent working experience Proven experience in MEP project management, with a minimum of 5 years in a similar role. Strong knowledge of MEP systems, codes, and regulations. Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant engineering software. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
