The Project Engineer - Construction will be responsible for assisting in all aspects of project management including planning, scheduling, procurement and staffing multiple projects across the country insuring successful achievement of safety, profitability, customer objectives, and schedule objectives.= What you'll do: Create stakeholder value (internal and external) by working closely with Unistrut staff and clients to ensure successful completion of projects - diving into the details, working in the field and spending time in the shop. Establish schedules, manage documentation requirements, safety protocols, site logistics, personnel co-ordination, and lead/participate in project meetings via phone, teams, field meetings, and email communication. Coordinate with outside suppliers to ensure materials are available that meet our stringent quality requirements, and the customer's construction schedule, at or below budgeted cost estimates. Assist in the management of field labor supervision and oversee the selection and management of local union labor resources on multiple projects concurrently. Develop and oversee an installation and assembly schedule using LEAN methodology to pre-fabricate and site install awarded scopes of work ensuring the highest quality and profit levels are achieved. Oversee project administration, manage progress and cost controls utilizing our software management programs eCMS, Salesforce, and Procore, reporting progress and countermeasures to the leadership team. Work closely with the Construction Administrator's to provide guidance and support on accounts receivable, payable and billing process. What you'll bring: Construction related Associates Degree or a Technical Degree/Certificate in related field required; Bachelor's degree preferred. 1+ years' experience in construction project engineering or field management. Demonstrable ability for reading blueprints/construction documents and details. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Proven communication and customer service skills Comfortable working in an office, the field, and shop. Within 3 months, you'll: Complete your Atkore immersion program. Understand how your job will help deliver Atkore's strategy. Gain an understanding of your team. Gain an understanding of the training materials and procedures your team owns. Within 6-months, you'll: Update training materials and procedures. Create internal as well as external stakeholder value. Provide direction as well as assistance on invoices. Within 12-months, you'll: Gain the ability to manage progress and cost controls utilizing our software management programs. Create and update reports, training materials and documentation.
