Specialist, Quality Assurance (The Prudential Insurance Company of America, Newark, NJ): Plan and lead functional and non-functional user acceptance testing. Collaborate with other members of the Product Data Administration team to define and implement testing strategies and techniques across operations/business/systems organizations. Create detailed UA Test Plans, Test Design, Test Strategy, Test Cases & Scripts and requirement traceability documentation. Execute testing processes and validate test data according to business/systems requirements, to ensure successful and timely implementation of projects. Perform quality review and provide approval for project documentation (Project Plan, Business Requirements, Software Requirements, QA Test Plan). Perform environment readiness by determining required test data and populating the test regions prior to the start of the test cycle. Ensure that all testing adheres to the Systems Development Life Cycle guidelines and is SOX compliant. Partner with Development and QA resources to plan and execute project requests, which will ensure seamless handover and production installs. Ensure project team and junior testers are clear on project testing goals, benefits, methods, roles, and responsibilities. Support cross training, knowledge-sharing, and skills development efforts within the team to increase productivity. Document project testing defects/limitations for future enhancements and audit trails. Communicate issues/defects to the project team in a clear manner. Follows through on issues/defects identified. Provide UAT sign-off/perform post-implementation wrap-up/follow-up.Full time employment, Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:Must have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, and 3 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate related work experience; OR a Master's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, and 1 year of related work experience.Of the required experience, must have 1 year of experience in each of the following:•Relational and SQL Database experience, including schema design, table normalization, and the writing of efficient queries;•Quality Assurance and User Acceptance Testing Best Practices, including test plan creation and execution, use case development, and unit test review;•Business Systems Analysis, including business requirements analysis, solution design, program development and unit testing, quality assurance testing, UAT coordination, and management and system monitoring;•System Development Life Cycle;•Production Support; and•Working on Microsoft Power BI.To Apply: Apply online at " Should you have any difficulty in applying for this position through our website, please contact for assistance in the application process.
