Commercial Relationship Manager We have an excellent opportunity for a Commercial Relationship Manager with a community-focused bank located in Cooperstown, NY. This role is ideal for a business banker looking to step into commercial lending position, or a seasoned commercial banking professional with experience in sales, credit analysis, and/or portfolio management. Our client has a strong understanding of the market and is looking for someone who can effectively manage, service, and grow an existing portfolio while actively pursuing new business opportunities. Responsibilities: Develop, manage, and grow a portfolio of commercial loans, focusing on Commercial Real Estate (CRE) and/or Commercial and Industrial (C&I) lending. Develop and maintain strong relationships with businesses in the market. Provide input into the credit process and ensure compliance with bank policies and regulatory requirements. Work closely with a local team to support new business development efforts. Uphold the bank's values and commitment to ethical and responsible customer service. Requirements: 4-5+ years of experience in business development, portfolio management, credit analysis, or a combination of these areas. Strong understanding of commercial credit and lending principles. Proven track record of building successful relationships in the market. An existing network of Centers of Influence (COIs) to drive business development is preferred. Ability to manage and grow an existing loan portfolio effectively. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Commitment to ethical standards and compliance with bank policies and regulations.
