Job Title: FPGA EngineerJob Description We are seeking an FPGA engineer to support work in the defense and aerospace industry. The FPGA/digital engineer will design and develop custom high-speed digital signal-processing cards and firmware for next-generation precision tracking radars and radar cross-section (RCS) measurement systems. This role requires onsite presence and local residency in Columbus, OH. Responsibilities Capture design requirements. Design and develop digital subsystems. Perform VDHL/Verilog firmware development. Collaborate with embedded software engineers to develop architectures. Perform hardware-in-the-loop testing. Generate product documentation (Interface Control Documents, theory of operation, etc.). Essential Skills 1+ years of professional working experience with Xilinx or Altera/Intel FPGA development. 1+ years of professional working experience with VDHL/Verilog Programming. Logic simulation experience (e.g., Vivado, Aldec, ModelSim, etc.). Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field. Additional Skills & Qualifications Xilinx development experience. Xilinx RFSoC development experience. Digital circuit design experience. Radar imaging and/or tracking experience (SAR, ISAR), RF, electromagnetic theory. Must be eligible for a US secret security clearance. Work Environment You will be working in a high-tech, low-bureaucracy environment with a smart team. Initially, you will spend 50% of your time at the desk and 50% in the lab/floor, focusing on FPGA programming. Over time, the role will involve more hardware design. You must be physically agile and able to support hands-on work with large indoor and outdoor radar systems, including lifting and mounting electronics equipment weighing up to 50 lbs. Core hours are from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, with flexible hours outside of that to complete an 8-hour day. Currently, no relocation assistance is offered.
