Summary of Position Functions The EMS Foreman is responsible for supervising and coordinating the work of a crew of EMS Lead men, EMS Workers, and laborers on a job site as well as ensuring that all work installed is completed on time, on budget, and according to all applicable plans, specifications, codes and industry standards. The EMS Foreman ensures project leads are completing all necessary daily/weekly paperwork (PTS, Safety forms, Material requisitions). Essential Position Functions Manages Site safety plans and promotes safety culture on the jobsite. Responsible for stopping unsafe work practices. Manages crew productivity and PTS. Responsible for overall productivity goals. Manages project quality control plan, project layout and trade coordination. Responsible for overall quality installations. Manages material ordering on the project site, site storage, staging, laydown and material deliveries. Manages tools and equipment on site. Manages workers assigned to lead men. Manages crew size. Manages project scope, daily reports, jobsite documentation (RFIs, drawings updates, submittals). Responsible for tracking all T&M and other field generated changes. Manages as-built drawings and manages punch lists. Maintains a rolling punch-list and updates as-built drawings. Responsible for day-to-day interface with customer. Manages RFIs and sends RFIs to PM. Education and Qualifications To perform this position successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Completion of a qualified, accredited electrical training program(s), or other related direct industry experience may serve as a substitute required. Competency in the use of the NEC (National Electrical Code) book as reference material in performing or directing the performance of work required. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledge and advanced expertise in all aspects of trade related materials, components, equipment, systems methods of installation, safety procedures, safe work practices, sizing and other calculations, use of hand and power tools. Ability to read and accurately interpret project related drawings and documentation including plans, specifications, drawings, schematics, diagrams, sketches and blueprints to ensure proper installation means and methods. Knowledge and training in applicable areas of rigging, trenching, scaffolding, fall protection, confined spaces, and lift safety. Knowledge and proficiency of Computer software including Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, Microsoft Project and/or other job-related hardware and software applications that may be required. Ability to communicate effectively. Ability to work independently and efficiently manage time/workload. Ability to effectively respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers and staff. Knowledge of Veregy's services and processes is required which can be obtained through intellect, technical inclination, and dedication to gain such knowledge. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
