AVP for Large Alternative Investment Fund Job Description: Our client, one of the largest alternative investment firms in the world, is looking for an experienced JD to serve as AVP. The position requires a strong background in contract negotiation, the ability to assess and articulate risks arising out of various agreements, and decision-making capabilities. The ideal candidate will have the desire to take ownership over the contracting process, work cross-functionally with other areas of the firm, be able to take a practical, business-minded approach in negotiations, and manage outside counsel. Creation of templates appropriate for use in a variety of settings. Interfacing with the business side in the contracting process. Management of issues, including escalation of issues as appropriate. Managing outside counsel. Job Requirements: Exposure to a range of contract types. Prior experience approving contracts. The ability to work independently and with various groups across the company.
