CulinArt Sector Salary: Up to $80,000/yr. Job Summary As a Cafe Retail Manager at CulinArt Group- a member of Compass Group USA, you will have the outstanding opportunity to lead and encourage a dedicated team in a dynamic, fast-paced cafe and coffee bar. Located in the heart of New York, NY, your role will be instrumental in delivering exceptional food and nutrition services for our cafe operations. Your ambition and proven track record will help you to successfully implement strategies that drive success and establish new benchmarks in the industry. Key Responsibilities: Coordinate special functions, maintain cash controls, and payroll records, and lead all aspects of hiring and training of hourly team members. Enhance customer happiness and foster positive public relations through the safe and efficient utilization of resources. Direct staff to provide scheduled retail services in accordance with corporate policies and presentation standards. Train staff in customer service, accurate portioning, cashier skills, and safety/sanitation. Complete all daily, weekly, or monthly reports as outlined in corporate policies and procedures, meeting all prescribed deadlines. Communicate effectively with all team members, patients, and families. Implement and maintain cash handling standards as outlined in the Corporate Policies and Procedures Manual to eliminate theft of services or Company funds. Preferred Qualifications: B.S. or equivalent experience in Food Services Technology/Management or related field preferred; or A.A. Degree plus three years of directly related experience. Minimum of one to three years of retail operational food service management experience required. Good knowledge of food and catering trends with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, marketing, and presentation. P&L accountability and contract-managed service experience is desirable. Experience with cash retail operations. Experience in catering is highly preferred. Retail marketing experience is highly desirable. Supervisory, leadership, management, and mentoring abilities. Good communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to communicate on various levels, including management, customer, and associate levels. Knowledge of financial, budgetary, accounting, and computational practices.
