Salary: $180,000 - $250,000 per year A bit about us: A top accounting consulting and advisory firm is looking for their next Director to join their growing Accounting Advisory team. This Director will provide various accounting advisory services including, but not limited to, IPO and M&A Readiness, CFO Advisory, SEC Compliance & Financial Reporting, Transaction Advisory, Technical Accounting Research & Position Papers, and addressing the need for continuous improvement and optimization of the finance and accounting functions. In addition, the ideal candidate has a strong desire to build and maintain a book of business. To succeed in this role, you should also have strong coaching and team management skills, as well as the desire to mentor staff. The Director role does require business development/networking activity, as well. The ideal candidate is a Manager or Senior Manager candidate out of public accounting or Audit/Advisory looking to transition to a normal work schedule and make an impact on day-to-day operations. Someone who worked in public accounting audit or assurance and transitioned to industry is also the ideal fit (if interested in moving into advisory)! If the candidate has a CPA and no experience working in public accounting but has progressive growth working for a consulting firm or the required skills as a CFO, that is also a great match. A CPA is also required. This role is hybrid (in the office 1-2 days/week) to be able to meet with team members and clients as needed. There are 2 openings-one that covers a client base in Philadelphia and one that covers a client base in New York City. The salary range listed does not include bonuses. Why join us? Top compensation! Amazing bonuses! 401K/Match Medical Dental Vision Flexible Scheduling Work Life Balance Ability to work with a multitude of different clients Job Details Responsibilities: Delegate the preparation of the financial statements and technical accounting position papers to the engagement team members for both public and private companies, as well as other required support materials Review accounting memos, financial statements, and other client deliverables prepared by engagement team members, ensuring general accounting standards are applied appropriately Independently provide conclusions and recommendations on application of complex accounting guidance to clients and external parties Independently facilitate calls with the SEC, client auditors, client legal counsel, etc. as deemed necessary to accomplish project goals Assist engagement partners in developing budget plans, communicate those budgets to the engagement team and monitor team progress Take ownership engagements while managing upward and downward expectations to ensure deadlines are met and project stays on budget Lead multiple engagement teams simultaneously to further the Firm's goals and objectives Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in relevant discipline (e.g. Accounting, Finance or Business Related Field) required Twelve plus years of relative accounting experience; public accounting or professional services experience highly preferred. CPA license is required Strong working knowledge/expertise with any of the following: Preparation of SEC filings including Form 10-K, 10-Q, S-1 and 8-K/A Addressing SEC Comment Letters Technical Accounting Research & Position Papers IPO Readiness & Reporting Carve-out Financial Reporting Interested in hearing more?
