Job Title: Environmental Scientist/GeologistJob Description We are seeking a mid- to senior -level Environmental Scientist/Geologist to join our busy team. This role bridges the gap between the department head and mid-level staff. You will initially focus on Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESA), with opportunities to assist in Phase II ESA remediation, sampling, and report writing. Responsibilities include collecting and analyzing data, drafting technical reports for federal and state regulatory projects, and managing quality assurance and quality control of findings. You will also communicate with clients, compile and evaluate environmental data, and prepare reports for regulatory agencies. This position offers a long-term growth opportunity to advance into a Project Manager or department head role. Work Site This is a fully on-site position in Carol Stream, Illinois. Work Environment The due diligence team consists of 5-6 Environmental Scientists/Geologists. You will have your own office and be provided a computer. There are four company trucks available for job site visits; you can choose to use a company vehicle (picked up and returned to the office daily) or your personal vehicle (with mileage reimbursement at $0.67/mile). Expect to spend about 2/3 of your time in the office conducting field reports and 1/3 on-site conducting remediation samples and investigations, varying based on workload. You will typically manage 5-6 projects at different phases, visiting one site per day on field days. Project types include commercial/industrial warehouses and residential subdivisions.
