Job Summary The Maintenance Technician performs routine maintenance and troubleshooting tasks in support of ongoing maintenance requirements Primary Duties & Responsibilities Demonstrate safe working practices in support of company safety procedures with focus on zero injuries. Repairs and maintains production machines and equipment, in accordance with diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, and manufacturer's specifications, using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring and test equipment. Installs machinery and equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, and other drawings in industrial establishment, using hoists, lift trucks, hand tools, and power tools. Reads blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures. Troubleshoot PLC and Electromechanical equipment. Complete preventative and unplanned maintenance tasks; assist in line changeovers; consult with other Maintenance Technicians, Production Operators, Leads and Managers to ensure tasks are completed in an efficient and timely manner. Utilize CMMS to document maintenance activities. Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs with occasional overtime. Perform other duties as assigned. Education and Experience Profile 3-5 years industrial maintenance experience, in a manufacturing environment High School diploma or equivalent Technical school in related field (Preferred) Required Skills Must be reliable and work with minimal supervision. Knowledge of machine controls (PLC's, Sensors, I/O's) Knowledge and experience with Welding, Fabrication & Machine Shop Equipment Good verbal and written skills, computer literacy; excellent organizational and follow-up skills Strong ability to trouble shoot equipment malfunctions Ability to work independently with minimum supervision Strong work ethic and commitment to consistent attendance Work Environment Safety . Your safety is most important. Proper training and PPE will be provided. All employees are encouraged to share safety tips. Some job tasks require walking or standing most of the time during the shift and may include bending, reaching, pushing, and pulling of material. You must be able to occasionally lift up-to 50 pounds, within team lift guidelines. Surroundings . Fast paced manufacturing environment. You will be working around production equipment; moving powered industrial vehicles; and you will interact with other employees. Team environment .
