Shift Hours: Generally Monday-Friday, day shift, but will vary with workload Job Description: JWF Industries is a growing metal manufacturing company, continuing to expand into defense & other markets with long-term work. We're looking for an experienced Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) to join our team in Johnstown, PA. Essential Duties: Primary accountability is in support of projects to assure weld quality of parts to the customer drawing or specification requirements. Will help to facilitate problem-solving and issues. Education Level: Active CWI credential required Experience: Experience in a metal manufacturing environment. Ability to read and comprehend complex diagrams, blue-prints, weld symbols, and written/verbal instructions. Familiar with AWS Welding codes. General knowledge of quality inspection tools (micrometers/calipers). Physical Demands: While performing the duties of the job, the employee is required to have the ability to concentrate and perform responsibilities by maintaining a constant state of focus and mental alertness. While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to stand, use hands (including gripping & grasping) and reach with arms, including reaching overhead and outward frequently. The employee is frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl and talk or hear. The employee will frequently walk. The employee will frequently lift and/ or move up to 50 lbs. Specific vision requirements such as color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
