Basic Job Functions: Lead the transfer of new process/product programs from pre-production, through manufacturing qualification, to full implementation. Responsibilities include developing master schedule, developing downtime and ramp plans, managing budget, identification of key risks, coordination of activities across cross functional teams and champion programs through the change management system. Provide regular updates to a cross section of stakeholders, including GMO operations, ME sustaining and integration teams and executive leadership team. Education/Experience: Associates degree in a technical discipline with 2 years' experience as First Solar Manufacturing Engineer I or 3 years Engineering experience in desired areas, or 2 years Engineering experience and 6 years technical experience in desired areas Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline with 2 years as First Solar Manufacturing Engineer I, or 3 years Engineering experience in a manufacturing setting, or 2 years Engineering and 3 years technical experience in a manufacturing setting or MS Degree in a technical discipline with 2 years as First Solar Manufacturing Engineer I or 4 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing setting or PhD Degree in a technical discipline with 0-3 years of experience in a manufacturing setting Required Skills/Competencies: Demonstrated experience in leading a technical program through the change management (CMS) system. Ability to coordinate activities with multiple stakeholders across all First Solar locations. Ability to create effective presentations and present to senior management. Good knowledge of finance, OpEx., CapEx. Budget tracking and monitoring. Good knowledge of manufacturing processes. Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail. Understanding of Cycle Time, Throughput and Ramp calculations. Exhibit good leadership and team building skills. Ability to work with minimal supervision. Strong time management skills. Essential Responsibilities: Working with subject matter experts champion program(s) through the change management system. Develop qualification scorecards and track program status. Provide regular status updates to all stakeholders. Manage program budget. Manage program downtime and throughput impact. Coordinate execution of key engineering and qualification tests. Manage critical timelines and schedules. Lead task forces and communicate status updates to stakeholders. Resolve day-to-day project, scheduling, and budget challenges. Adhere to all safety procedures and good housekeeping standards. Domestic and international travel as required. Other duties as assigned. Job description subject to change at any time. Reporting Relationships: This position is unlikely to have direct reports. Travel: 10% - 20% Estimated Salary Range: $75,100-$107,000 annually. US Physical Requirements: Manufacturing & Maintenance Physical Requirements: Will sit, stand, or walk short distances for up to 12 hours per day. Will climb stairs on a frequent basis. Will lift up to 58 pounds on an occasional basis, according to work instruction. Will lift up to 37 pounds on a frequent basis. Will push or pull up to 27 pounds of force on an occasional basis. Will push or pull up to 10 pounds of force on a frequent basis. Required to use hands to grasp, lift, handle, carry or feel objects repetitively on a frequent basis. 20/40 vision in each eye (with or without correction) and the ability to distinguish between red, yellow, and green is required. May reach above shoulder heights and below the waist on a frequent basis. May stoop, kneel, or bend, on an occasional basis. Must be able to comply with all safety standards and procedures. Ability to wear personal protective equipment is required (including, but not limited to; steel toed shoes, cut resistant gloves, jackets, aprons &/or arm guards, safety glasses, hearing protection).
