Why join us? $65-85k annually Bonus 401k Job Details Job Details: We are seeking a skilled and dynamic Permanent Property Accountant to join our fast-paced and vibrant team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced individual who thrives in a challenging environment, has a passion for numbers, and possesses a keen eye for detail. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all financial transactions related to our property portfolio. This includes preparing financial reports, performing account reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger, and ensuring all accounting tasks are completed in a timely and accurate manner. The role requires someone with a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Responsibilities: 1. Manage all aspects of accounting for the property portfolio including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger entries. 2. Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements and reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable financial rules and regulations. 3. Perform year-end closing activities, including the preparation of audit schedules and liaising with external auditors. 4. Review and verify financial information, identify discrepancies, and resolve any accounting issues. 5. Collaborate with the property management team to ensure all financial transactions are accurately recorded. 6. Assist in the development and implementation of accounting procedures and policies. 7. Participate in budget preparation and financial forecasting. 8. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local laws regarding financial reporting and taxation. Qualifications: 1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field is required. 2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in property accounting or a related field. 3. Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel. 4. Strong understanding of accounting principles, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations. 5. Experience with year-end closing procedures. 6. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. 7. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. 8. Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team. 9. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 10. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation is a plus.
