Managing Attorney (Of Counsel)

King & Wood Mallesons LLP is hiring a Managing Attorney (Of Counsel) in New York, NY to oversee associate attorneys and law clerks working on a range of legal services with a focus in cross-border dispute resolution and compliance practices, including complex commercial litigation, arbitration, sanctions and export controls, and compliance work; manage reporting associates and law clerks including supervising training, work product, and client management; review legal research by associates and law clerks and provide feedback; review draft briefs, pleadings, and submissions to court and domestic and international arbitral tribunals; attend court and arbitration hearings, including status, motion, and evidentiary hearings; and review responses to discovery requests. $150,000 per year.Requirements: Law degree (JD) or equivalent, admission to the New York Bar, and three years of legal experience in all of the following: providing legal advice on complex regulatory issues including securities laws and corporate governance, and private equity and venture capital investments; conducting legal due diligence on cross-border M&A transactions for US-based companies and foreign subsidiaries in China; drafting and negotiating transaction documents for private equity investments, venture capital offerings, and start-up structuring; providing strategic advice to clients on the Committee on Foreign Investments in the U.S. (CIFUS) jurisdiction and review process; and conducting post-acquisition reviews of PRC-based subsidiaries to evaluate legal liabilities for Asia-based corporate and individual clients under US statutory laws.Send resume and cover to: Attention: HR, King & Wood Mallesons LLP at .
