The Strategic Sourcing Manager will develop, coordinate, and manage strategic sourcing plans for the company, consistent with the company strategy and guidance from the Supply Chain Head position. The Strategic Sourcing Manager will identify and implement significant cost reduction strategies; while improving quality, delivery, and service from our supply base. Principal Responsibilities: Develop and execute an effective strategic sourcing plan, to create synergies that will drive lower costs, and enable efficient sourcing and contracting in a fast-paced environment. Data Master SKU setup and maintenance within SAP system. Develop and implement Sourcing strategy which mitigates risk for the company. Understand supply markets for respective categories and determine the appropriate strategy to partner with the best suppliers at both a national and local/regional level. Manage timely strategic sourcing events, negotiate supply agreements and contracts to ensure lowest cost and supply continuity. Successfully document and articulate savings and other value-added benefits to the business. Develop and implement a Supplier Relationship Management program to transform our relationships with key suppliers and drive continuous improvement and innovation. Work closely with the Company's cost accounting manager to develop, measure and maintain standard costs that will serve as budget and the benchmark for purchase price variance analysis and reporting (PPV's). Partner with planning to communicate expected purchasing volume with key suppliers and tollers. Eliminate/minimize packaging and raw material obsolescence. Keep up with current purchasing trends and regulatory policies by taking courses, attending seminars/web casts, networking with other purchasing professionals and reading relevant material. Timely resolution of non-conformances and associated follow-up through corrective/preventative action. Participate in projects involving functional areas such as R&D, Operations, Sales and Marketing. Develop and Report KPI's (such as supplier cost trends, on time in full fulfillment of orders). Experience: 7 plus years of experience in procurement. SAP experience strongly preferred. CPSM, CSCP, CPM or CPIM a plus. Must be experienced in strategic sourcing. Proven background of successful procurement strategy implementation. Strong analytical skills including the ability to determine and explain usage and pricing variances. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills including the ability to effectively present information to top management, suppliers, and customers. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions and act quickly to solve problems. Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Able to effectively interface with all levels and departments within the organization. Must be equal parts strategic and tactical. Negotiation skills. Education: B.S. in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or Engineering, or 10+ years of relevant experience in lieu of degree. Travel:
