Job Summary This role will support Clinical Nutrition Services. The Clinical Informatics Specialist leads teams and supports clinicians in the design, development, implementation, and optimization of healthcare technologies (including but not limited to the EHR) in both the inpatient and ambulatory environments. The Clinical Informatics Specialist understands future workflow and business process changes impacting the nursing, physician, and ancillary clinical teams to ensure the success of the implementation and ongoing system maintenance. This role will work with staff to optimize the usage of clinical systems through education, quality outcomes and providing support in accordance with organizational goals. The Clinical Informatics Specialist leads teams and is skilled in developing consensus and driving and supporting change. Additionally, the Clinical Informatics Specialist strives to understand clinical and departmental operational processes and incorporates this knowledge to execute best practices in both the clinical and information technology disciplines. Essential Functions Works collaboratively with the clinical nutrition team, the nutrition services team. Leads and directs coding of NetMenu/CBORD collaboratively with clinical nutrition team. Participates in testing for changes that impact Epic and NetMenu/CBORD Manage daily operational processes, including coordination of all investment-related transactions. Reconcile cash, investment transactions, and market values with custody bank system. Ensure proper onboarding of new investments with the custody bank and investment consultant. Work closely with Finance/Accounting on the monthly close and year-end audit processes as it relates to investments. Manage relationships with external service providers, including custody banks, fund administrators, data providers, etc. Create & improve operational processes & procedures to ensure best practices and compliance with regulatory requirements. Collaborate with the investment consultant on operational due diligence matters for new and existing investment managers. Develop a process, in conjunction with the investment team, to monitor and report on risks across all investment portfolios. Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree in Health Sciences, Nursing, Healthcare Administration or related field 2 years of relevant clinical work experience 2 years' experience with Food and Nutrition Information Systems management (preferably NetMenu/CBORD) 5 years of relevant experience working with physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and dieticians At least one of the below licenses or certificates: LIC - Registered Nurse (RN) from the State of Michigan LIC - Occupational Therapist from the State of Michigan LIC - Physical Therapist from the State of Michigan LIC - Respiratory Therapist from the State of Michigan LIC - Clinical Pharmacist from the State of Michigan CRT - Registered Dietitian (RD) - CDR Commission on Dietetic Registration CRT - Radiologic Technologist Registration - ARRT American Registry of Radiologic Technologist CRT - Medical Technologist, Certified (MT) - ASCP American Society for Clinical Pathology CRT - Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) - ASCP American Society for Clinical Pathology CRT - Molecular Biology Technologist - ASCP American Society for Clinical Pathology CRT - Board Cert Informatics Nurse (BC-IN) - ANCC American Nurses Credentialing Center Preferred Master's Degree Informatics, Healthcare Administration, or related field 2 or more years in clinical nutrition, Registered Dietitian or Registered Dietetic Technician CRT - Board Cert Informatics Nurse (BC-IN) - ANCC American Nurses Credentialing Center About Corewell Health As a team member at Corewell Health, you will play an essential role in delivering personalized health care to our patients, members and our communities.
