Summary Monitors, manages, and reconciles payroll taxes at the employer and employee level including reconciliation to outside service provider, preparation and/or review of payroll tax filings, and ensuring compliance. Assists with the preparation and review of corporate and tax-exempt entity tax filings including income tax, sales, and use tax, business privilege tax, and other tax types. Job Duties Submits and reconciles payroll tax reporting after each pay run to ensure accurate filings by tax service provider. Manages tax updates within ERP and outside service provider systems. Completes requests for data related to annual business filings for the Corporate Director of Tax. Coordinates the preparation and execution of W2s with the third-party tax vendor. Prepares and reconciles the bi-weekly payroll tax funding template. Reviews quarterly payroll tax filings. Reconciles payroll taxes to the general ledger and assists with any necessary journal entries. Determines taxability of certain benefits and payments to colleagues. Assists in the preparation of tax-exempt filings, Form 990, and state filings. Assists in the preparation of corporate and partnership tax returns. Assists with sales and use tax filings including monthly returns, renewal of tax exemptions, etc. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in accounting 3 years Tax compliance in a multi-corporate organization. and 3 years Payroll tax preparation for multi-corporate organizations. Knowledge of General Accepted Accounting Principle. Detail oriented. Proficient in Excel. Preferred Qualifications ERP experience. Physical Demands Lift and carry 25 lbs. frequent sitting/standing, frequent keyboard use, *patient care providers may be required to perform activities specific to their role including kneeling, bending, squatting and performing CPR.
