MAINTENANCE ENGINEER COLUMBIA CITY, INDIANA - 3rd SHIFT - ONSITE Join our team as a Maintenance Engineer where you can make a significant impact on our operational efficiency while leading a talented group of professionals. Lear in Columbia City is seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Engineer to oversee the maintenance operations within our JIT facility. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in industrial maintenance and facilities management, with the proven ability to manage a team effectively and safely. The Maintenance Engineer will ensure that all maintenance tasks are performed efficiently, safely, and in compliance with industry standards. The Role: Supervise and manage the maintenance team, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality work. Conduct regular inspections of facilities and equipment to identify potential issues and implement preventive maintenance measures. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a culture of safety within the team. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders and inventory management. Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of any nonconformances related to product, process, and quality systems. Identify and record any problems related to the product, process, and quality system. Initiate, recommend or provide solutions through designated channels. Verify implementation of solutions. Control further processing, delivery, or installation of nonconforming product until the deficiency or unsatisfactory condition has been corrected. Your Qualifications: Experience with PLC's (Control Logix, Micro Logix, Compact Logix & SLC 500 - Rockwell software) - being able to understand ladder logic and make programming changes. Experience with automation equipment (i.e., industrial robots, AGV, vision systems) Proficiency in reading schematics and technical drawings. Experience in industrial maintenance practices and facilities management. Familiarity with HVAC systems and their maintenance requirements. Ability to supervise a team effectively while fostering a collaborative work environment. Excellent critical thinking skills with a hands-on approach to troubleshooting. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with team members and other departments. Associate Degree or Higher required. Bonus If You Have: Experience with PLC's (Control Logix, Micro Logix, Compact Logix & SLC 500 - Rockwell software) - being able to understand ladder logic and make programming changes and experience with automation equipment (i.e., industrial robots, AGV, vision systems) is highly preferred.
