Controller, Manufacturing Join our dynamic manufacturing company dedicated to delivering high-quality products and innovation in the industry. We are seeking a talented Controller to lead our financial operations and strategic planning initiatives. Position Overview: As the Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial management, including accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting. You will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with accounting principles, implementing financial best practices, and providing strategic guidance to senior management. Key Responsibilities: Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department. Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with GAAP. Develop and maintain financial accounting systems for cash management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and credit control. Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports. Lead the annual budgeting and planning process in collaboration with department heads. Monitor and analyze financial performance, including variance analysis and key metrics. Coordinate and lead the year-end audit process, ensuring timely completion and compliance. Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accurate financial reporting. Manage and mentor a team of accounting professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and development. Qualifications: Ability to work (5) days a week, with (3) days per week at our corporate HQ's in Chambersburg Pa. Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred. Minimum of 5+ years of progressive experience in accounting, with at least 1+ years in a managerial role. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations. Proven experience in financial management, budgeting, and financial analysis. Experience in a manufacturing environment or related industry is highly desirable. Advanced proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel. Experience working with supply chain ERP / MRP systems. Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with senior management and external stakeholders.
