This job was posted by : For more information, please see: r r Associate Director - Scholarships r r r r About This Role: Reporting to the Director of the Office of Student Financial Aid (OSFA), this position will lead the scholarship unit within the OSFA. To that end, this role will support and actively contribute to the University/'s Enrollment Management (EM) objectives by guiding the day-to-day administrative operations associated with the coordinated awarding, delivery, and reconciliation of institutional, state, and privately sourced scholarships and merit-based tuition waivers. This role supports recipients of university scholarships/waiver awards and their parents and assists in recruiting and retaining a talented and diverse study body. As a key member of the OSFA senior leadership team, the Associate Director supervises four, full time staff members within the scholarship unit. The Associate Director ensures that staff provide excellent service to prospective and current students and their families, and other constituencies, and will coordinate the vast network of scholarship awarding departments across campus. As a critical contributor to the University/'s EM objectives, this position serves as the OSFA/'s primary expert and resource on scholarship matters to internal constituents such as the Office of Recruitment & Admissions, Office of the Registrar, University Athletics, Housing & Dining Services, K-State Foundation, K-State Alumni Association, and Scholarship Coordinators across University colleges and departments. The Associate Director collaborates with various marketing and communication entities to assist the University in executing messaging that is informative, transparent, and effective. This position will provide leadership in identifying and leveraging system efficiencies within the scholarship unit especially pertaining to prospective student communication and tighter integration among existing University systems such as Oracle/'s Campus Solution Student Information System, Blackbaud/'s Award Management (formerly Academic Works) and Technolution/'s SLATE CRM. Follows University scholarship and financial aid policies and adheres to professional and ethical standards established by relevant professional organizations, such as the American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (AACRAO) and the National Association of Student financial Aid Administrators (NASFAA). What You/'ll Need to Succeed: Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor/'s Degree Five or more years of relevant experience Preferred Qualifications: Master/'s Degree Six or more years, full time employment within an Office of Student Financial Assistance with progressive responsibilities and oversight of one or more major financial aid programs. Past, full-time work administering institutional scholarships - including central, endowment, and athletic Robust knowledge of Oracle Corp. Campus Solutions including writing/executing PS Query Tool Working knowledge of Blackbaud/'s Award Manager ( ormerly Academic Works) Working knowledge of Campus Logic/'s suite of student aid modules such as Notifications, Forms, and Net Price Calculator Proven track record in working with institutional IT units in developing and testing system enhancements Previous supervisory experience Other Requirements: Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States at the time of employment.
