Job Duties Greet patients and assist them in the reception areaEnsure the reception area is appropriately stocked with water, patient education brochures, and other necessary items.Monitor the LGBTQ+ Program cell phone during business hours, answer calls, provide basic information to patients as needed, relay messages to appropriate staff members, and respond to voice or text messages within one business day.Monitor the LGBTQ+ Program email inbox and respond to basic patient inquiries or refer messages to the medical provider or patient navigator as clerical duties as indicated, including scanning and faxing of patient records, and completion of forms including prior authorizations, maintaining appropriate standards of confidentiality in handling protected health data entry as needed to support Center's clinical and navigation services, grants, QI, or research programs; perform simple analysis in MS Excel to create charts and tables as needed.Support community outreach efforts of the Center, including managing and preparing supplies for tabling events and maintaining a calendar of upcoming potential events for duties as assigned. EducationHigh school graduation or equivalent required. Position QualificationsBasic familiarity with MS Word and MS Excel required.Prior experience in a medical setting preferred.Prior experience in a customer service role preferred.Bilingual in Spanish preferred. Qualifications Skills Preferred Spanish: Expert Education Required High School or better in Diploma/GED Experience Preferred Prior experience in a medical setting preferred. Prior experience in a customer service role preferred.
