$1000 Sign-on Bonus Offered Job Title: Maintenance Technician Location: Fairport, NY, US As a Maintenance Technician in Fairport, NY, you will be responsible for conducting routine maintenance and repair tasks for the property, such as painting and grounds maintenance. Working closely with the Chief Engineer and the team, you will assist in various project works to uphold the hotel's fresh and appealing appearance. Your friendly demeanor will shine through as you interact with guests and colleagues, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for all. Additionally, this role may also involve serving as a Van Driver when needed. In the position of Maintenance Helper, your duties will include: • Being a Go-To Person: Performing routine property maintenance tasks like painting, grouting, moving furniture, and basic equipment repairs to support a safe and secure guest environment. • Being Ready to Help: Being prepared to promptly and effectively address any emergencies that may arise during your shift. • Being a Team Player: Willingly assisting other departments when needed to ensure the smooth operation of the hotel. • Being a Safety & Security Agent: Adhering to the hotel's safety and security protocols, identifying potential issues, and promptly notifying management when necessary. The $1000 sign-on bonus consists of $100 in the first paycheck and the remaining $900 after completing 90 days of employment. Responsibilities: • Conduct regular maintenance tasks like changing light bulbs, replacing HVAC filters, and fixing minor plumbing issues to keep the hotel running smoothly. • Ensure all equipment and systems are functioning properly to avoid any disruptions in hotel operations. • Address guest requests for room repairs or maintenance promptly to maintain high-quality guest experiences. • Inspect hotel facilities regularly to identify and resolve any safety hazards or maintenance needs. • Collaborate with different departments to efficiently prioritize maintenance tasks and projects. Qualifications: • The role requires some practical experience, with preference given to those with trade school or related college coursework, as well as previous experience in customer service and hotels. • You should be proficient in working with various tools and equipment used in the department. • Good communication skills are essential, along with a solid understanding of English. For van driving, fluency in English is mandatory. • Physical requirements include the ability to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, 50 pounds frequently, and 20 pounds constantly. • The role entails standing for long periods, walking long distances, bending, stretching, twisting, and reaching with your body and arms. • You must be comfortable working under variable temperatures and noise levels. • Near vision is necessary for seeing details at close range. • Climbing stairs and moving quickly and agilely in emergency situations are crucial. • Be prepared for long work hours, varying temperature conditions, noise levels, and working both indoors and outdoors, including potentially on roofs. • You will work around chemicals, fumes, odor hazards, dust, and mite hazards.
