Wright Technical Services is representing a top client in the building technology space who is currently seeking a qualified Estimating Engineer to join their team. The ideal individual will have expertise in sheet metal and piping. Qualifications 5+ years extensive knowledge with commercial and industrial mechanical estimating experience Working knowledge of piping material, sheet metal, and labor estimates Ability to audit existing mechanical building systems and recommend solutions to improve efficiency Thorough understanding of construction methods and the ability to communicate with vendors/subcontractors in effort to obtain proposal information Experienced in mechanical equipment replacement estimating and/or field experience Customer service and management skills are imperative Must have excellent written and verbal communications skills Job Description This role includes working with clients, both internally and externally, to identify and develop design-build solutions and energy-saving projects Prepare cost estimates for mechanical HVAC systems and equipment for commercial and Industrial projects (i.e., new installations, retrofits, and equipment replacements such as boilers and chillers) Account for labor, material, equipment, subcontractors, and other direct costs within estimates Review plans and specifications to determine the scope of work Perform field surveys for the development of new project estimates and replacements Responsible for secured customers from Project Development through project transition Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure accurate and competitive pricing Support Project Manager through project execution and completion Assist and support all efforts of acquisition and customer satisfaction Support Engineers in developing, maintaining, and strengthening relationships with key owner direct customers, equipment/material suppliers as well as create strong partnerships Compensation: $115,000 per year
