Symetra has an exciting opportunity to join our benefits sales leadership team as a Regional Vice President! About the role As the Regional Vice President, you will be responsible for both the regional success of your sales team and for managing broker partnerships. You will maximize the sales production from those relationships, establishing marketing plans that result in profitable new and renewal business. You'll gain market share in an increasingly competitive environment. As the leader in this role, you understand that relationships are critical to our success - both internal and external - and you build and nurture relationships with your team, internal partners, third party administrators, consultants and brokers. You must reside in the Western or Central region of the United States. What you will do Drive the success of your aligned team including recruiting, hiring, training and development Provide continual performance feedback to reinforce success of aligned sales representatives Effectively manage your territory, understanding key performance indicators, details sales and market metrics, and assessment of business exceptions with successful results Build strong relationships with brokers in your region, develop and implement smart marketing plans and continually assess outcomes to drive success in your region What we offer you We don't take a "one-size-fits-all" approach when it comes to our employees. Check out our Symetra Benefits Overview Compensation Base salary: $150,000 plus eligibility for incentive compensation Who you are Bachelor's degree or equivalent industry experience Life and Health Insurance License 10+ years of regional production sales and sales leadership, specifically in Group Ancillary Life, Disability, Absence and Supplemental Health product lines Demonstrated ability to achieve sales goals Strong abilities in planning, organization, decision making and team management Experience in successful development and implementation of marketing plans Excellent relationship management skills Thorough understanding of risk management principles and general underwriting concepts for all segment sizes Travel required at 40-50% Work Authorization Employer work visa sponsorship and support are not provided for this role.
