Function: The Director of Corporate Communications will work closely with the Director of Sales Strategy and Marketing to create and drive the Bank's strategy that increases awareness and manages S&T Bank's brand and reputation through strategic storytelling. This individual will be responsible for external communications and internal/employee focused communications regarding S&T Bank and subsidiary brands. This role will interact with all levels of the organization as well as with the community, media, and industry organizations. They will work cross-functionally to tell our company's story in a way that captivates and engages external and internal audiences while ensuring a consistent brand voice to increase brand awareness and visibility. Duties and Responsibilities: Responsible for managing external communications program, including the development of press releases, media advisories and working directly with local, regional, and national media. This includes working with PR agency to drive earned media coverage. Will act as spokesperson on occasion and will coordinate all media interviews concerning the company. Increase visibility in media and financial press by managing and building strong ongoing relationships with reporters. Work to develop and refine crisis communications plans in partnership with PR agency, Legal, Marketing, Human Resources and Executive leadership. Assists with crisis management activities for key functions, including Legal, Customer Service, and Human Resources, and responds to media/press inquiries. Manage Executive Communications, including messages and plans in support of Director of Sales Strategy & Marketing and other business leaders. Responsible for the day-to-day management of communication and/or public relations agency relationships while aligning to brand guidelines, standards, and processes. Effectively plan, develop, and execute enterprise-level employee and strategic communications by collaborating with the business line leaders and executive leaders to create multi-channel communications plans and deliverables that inform, engage, motivate, and connect employees; educate and build awareness around the Bank's strategic goals and initiatives, values and purpose; and align to its ever-changing business needs. Assist as needed with coordination of communication related to financial information. Supports finance in the production of reporting and ESG related materials Works with Finance Division in creating investor relations materials. Collaborate with Digital and Integrated Marketing teams to plan and distribute company announcements. Draft and handle submissions for industry awards while maintaining an organized awards calendar across Bank and subsidiary brands. Support S&T Bank corporate events such as quarterly earnings call and all employee events as needed. Work closely with colleagues across Bank footprint to ensure seamless and consistent communications. Physical Demands Operates office equipment: 10% of the day. The primary parts of the body involved in performing these tasks are the fingers, thumbs, hands. The job requires reaching above the shoulders, which is slow in speed. Use of manual dexterity skills for typing and data entry up to 40% of the business day. Travel as needed to branch and/or training sites and possible overnight stays required. Specific vision requirements include close vision of 18"-20" for computer work and travel. Education Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations or related field or equivalent work experience.
