The company was formed in October 2018 through a combination of Post Holdings' private brands businesses and is owned by Post Holdings and funds affiliated with Thomas H. Lee Partners, L.P. ("THL"), a private equity firm. Responsibilities Position Summary: Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of facility machinery and building infrastructure. There will also be basic building maintenance and repairs. Duties And Responsibilities: Repair mechanical issues of facility machinery as requested by the maintenance manager/supervisor daily. Monitor and operate the wastewater equipment to ensure that the plant effluent is maintained at acceptable levels that meet the GVRD/regulatory requirements. Improve the functioning of the machinery by making mechanical adjustments and performing preventative maintenance. Perform basic building maintenance and repairs including but not limited to drywall repairs, painting, and any other such type of activities that may arise from time to time. Complete daily mechanical maintenance and repair record forms and deliver them to the maintenance supervisor/coordinator. Clean and maintain work area after mechanical work has been performed daily. Perform quality welding and electrical work as required. All positions within Golden Boy Foods Ltd are mandated to adhere to Good Manufacturing (GMP) and uphold food safety standards Other duties, as assigned Education And Experience Required: Minimum of two (2) years of technical/mechanical experience in Food Production Manual dexterity required for operating machinery, pneumatic tools and power tools. High school diploma or equivalent Millwright ticket is an asset Preferred Education, Experience, And Skills: Familiarity with Food Manufacturing Environments an asset. Mechanical, Hydraulic, Pneumatic systems and Control System knowledge an asset. Experience with High-Speed Packaging Machinery and industrial electrical PLC an asset. Forklift, High Reach certificate an asset. Able to work as part of a diverse team or independently to ensure timely completion of assigned tasks Positive, proactive and self-motivated with leadership qualities An organized problem solver, able to prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment. Ability to handle stressful situations and remain calm. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud and the use of hearing and eye protection is required.
