Cullerton Group has a new opportunity for a Senior Project Engineer in Oak Lawn, IL. The work will be done onsite four days a week. One day a week will be work-from-home. This is a permanent job. Compensation is up to $130,000/yr + full benefits. Job Opportunity: Senior Project Engineer Position Title: Senior Project Engineer Summary: We are seeking a Senior Project Engineer responsible for leading capital projects, including engineering design, development of specifications, project planning, and execution. This role will organize and coordinate resources, schedules, and budgets within a manufacturing setting focused on food production enhancements. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Project Management: Coordinate and exercise functional authority for planning, organization, control, integration, and completion of engineering projects. Oversee project teams including Maintenance, Continuous Improvement, and external contractors, managing staffing and resource allocation. Manage capital expenditure (CAPEX) processes, control project budgets, and forecast capital cash flows. Technological Subject Matter Expertise: Recommend improvements in manufacturing processes across all Supply Chain dimensions based on technological expertise. Ensure compliance with health & safety, environmental, food safety, and quality systems standards in all projects. Evaluate and approve design changes and specifications to meet engineering and compliance standards. Strategic Planning Support: Develop and update Master Plans for the site, maintaining detailed layouts of buildings and equipment. Interface with Business Unit and Supply Chain leadership to provide updates and ensure alignment with business objectives. Early Management and VSU Expertise: Serve as the subject matter expert for Early Management and VSU, applying these concepts to project initiatives. Oversee project phases within the VSU cycle, ensuring thorough documentation and adherence to standards. Other Responsibilities: Mentor junior engineers and provide guidance on project execution. Participate in special projects and perform other duties as needed. Qualifications: Minimum of 7 years of experience in Engineering Project Management, particularly in a manufacturing or food processing environment. University degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Mechatronic Engineering. Strong background in Lean Manufacturing and TPM - Early Management. Experience with building expansions in a food process environment is preferred.
