HighwayBridge Design Engineer

Our project portfolio features experience in bridge, highway, and structural design; condition and safety inspection; civil and site engineering support; construction inspection and administration; survey and mapping; and hydrographic services. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: We have an opening for Transportation Project Engineer working out of our Buffalo, Rochester or Syracuse office. What you'll be able to do: Feasibility studies, design calculations, specifications, 3D modeling, plan development, construction cost estimates, and support of work / environmental permitting applications Participate in field condition inspections, safety assessments, and produce appropriate technical reports of findings Provide construction administration support for Requests for Information (RFI's) and submittals. Special inspection field visits when required Represent Prudent Engineering at project meetings, as needed The minimum requirements we seek: BS Civil Engineering preferred (AAS Civil Tech minimum) with 5+ years' experience EIT preferred Experience with Civil/Site and ancillary design (e.g., closed drainage, water service, sanitary sewer, stormwater management practices, etc.) Proficient with: Autodesk Civil 3D, and Microsoft Office Excel / Word Bentley MicroStation V8i or Connect Edition a plus Additional experience with any of the following would be a plus: hydraulics (HEC-RAS), GIS, bank stabilization, emergency action plans, fish passage, and water control structure operations Ability to work primarily independent on project assignments, with support from more experienced engineers Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills What you'll receive in return: A base salary of $75,000 to $100,000. * Medical, dental, vision. 401K with company match.
