Dexter Health Care is a 53 bed full service Long-Term Care and Skilled Nursing Facility. Wages start at $17.00 per hour Housekeeper/Maintenance Assistant You are a key part of the team providing great care to your Residents and in this is a very important role, you are performing day-to-day services ensuring a clean, attractive, and safe place for Residents to live and staff to work. Your hard work makes a difference. Every day, you are making a positive impression on your Residents, their families, and their visitors. Essential Functions: The following list of duties includes primary responsibilities, but is not all-inclusive: Receive and follow maintenance schedule/instructions from your supervisor and as outlined in our established maintenance policies and procedures. Perform routine maintenance on grounds, parking areas, driveways, etc. Perform routine maintenance and repair on the facility and equipment to include plumbing, plastering, electrical, carpentry, mechanical, etc., as directed, in accordance with established procedures. Clean windows and screens as directed. Replace burned-out light bulks, to include, exit lights, overhead lights, fluorescent lights, and room call lights, and perform cleaning duties whenever necessary. Perform unscheduled maintenance tasks as directed by supervisor. Be in an on-call rotation for nights, weekends, and emergencies in conjunction with the maintenance staff at the facility. Promotes the facility philosophy of care and mission statement. Performs other housekeeping duties as assigned. Prior cleaning or healthcare experience preferred; and we are very happy to train! Must be able to lift 30 lbs floor to waist; lift 10 lbs waist to shoulder; lift and carry 30 lbs; and push/pull 40 lbs.
