The opportunity The Senior Manager, Congress Planning role is responsible for supporting the delivery of all prioritized congresses to support Teva Innovative Medicines (IM) in delivering their strategic priorities. This role ensures seamless delivery of congress logistics and vendor management to strengthen Teva's position and reach across our portfolio products. Key activities led by this position include advancing the function with the implementation of designed strategies and tactics, policies and procedures, while providing direction and support on budgeting, planning, and execution along with the reconciliation of expenses for all events associated with healthcare meetings & congresses. How you'll spend your day Support delivery of the US Congress strategy and partner with the portfolio and brand leads to operationalize the overall congress strategy Collaborate with cross functional partners in the implementation of enterprise-wide solutions to optimize Teva's planning and execution across all priority congresses while meeting evolving needs of the business Deliver and support strategic alignment for all cross-functional booth strategy, execution, and budget management including vendor relationship for priority congresses Establish sponsorship level and strategic tactics (e.g., Product Theater) with portfolio and brand leads. Engage with members of the business units and functional teams to deliver a high standard of meeting planning excellence by ensuring consistent, appropriate brand presence, efficiency and harmonies across all congress related activity. Work with Congress Governance Committee and brand leadership to assess and deliver efficiency in congress spend, while upholding and increasing medical and commercial impact at key congresses. Work directly with all hosting congress organizations to ensure seamless sponsorship and partnership Work directly with AmX partner (Teva Meetings Management) to establish exhibit booth space, registrations and room blocks are executed seamlessly. This includes internal meeting registration links and partnerships with Teva travel. Directly manage congress vendor relationships and vendor responsibilities Develop congress relationships (both executive and customer) to improve the service delivery and effectiveness of program execution as well as to increase corporate awareness and utilization of the functions services to be the sole and best solution for meeting, event and congress execution Manage and implement logistical elements of meetings and conventions, ensuring adherence to all deadlines, turnaround timelines and compliance requirements Develop and maintain the framework in which the Meetings & Conventions team should support both commercial and medical convention planning and execution, including identifying and using key metrics to evaluate and improve conventions team processes and procedures Manage appropriate PARC submissions for congress and booth related support Partner with the brand portfolio teams and field leadership on delivering and executing congress strategy including resources, messaging and booth support Your experience and qualifications Education/Certification/Experience: Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred A minimum of 7 years pharmaceutical experience in commercial roles, i.e. Sales, Training, Marketing, Analytics, Patient Services or equivalent required Demonstrated success in managing complex cross-matrix projects teams and/or large-scale global conferences Demonstrated experience in managing multi department budgets, PO processes and Vendor management Logistics experience and knowledge of logistics planning systems Experience managing logistics and delivery of congresses and events preferred Skills/Knowledge/Abilities: Resourceful, decisive and proactive; must be able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-growing environment Sound judgment, high integrity with ability to maintain strict confidentiality Demonstrated strong organizational, project management and communication skills Familiarity with promotional approval requirements and US markets promotional marketing regulations Familiarity with brand planning process Proficient in all Microsoft applications Motivated and results driven with a curiosity about innovative thinking and developing efficient solutions High comfort level with interacting with senior leaders, ability to establish/maintain credibility and challenge decisions when appropriate Travel Requirements: Approximately 50% domestic travel throughout the US. Ability to travel to attend meetings at both Teva offices and off-site locations through the US and periodically internationally as required.
