Job Title : Digital Product Specialist Reports To : Director of Academic & Digital Sales Department : Sales Team Company : Baker Publishing Group Location : Ada, MI Position Type: Full time, Nonexempt Job Overview : Baker Publishing Group is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Digital Product Specialist to join our Sales team. In this role, you will manage and maintain our ONIX database, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of digital product data across various platforms. The Digital Product Specialist will work closely with internal teams and external partners to manage eBook, audiobook, and print data, as well as support ongoing catalog maintenance. Your primary responsibilities will include managing data for eBook promotions, maintaining digital assets, and collaborating on catalog season updates. Primary Responsibilities : 1. Maintain ONIX Database : Send out weekly updates of eBook data, cover images, EPUB files, and print data. Adjust titles that have been suppressed or are out of print. 2. eBook and Digital Asset Management : Send data for eBook promotions to relevant partners. Organize and maintain EPUB files for internal and external use. Manage FTP sites for file transfers and data sharing. 3. Print Data Updates : Update and send cover photos for print data, received from the Visual Communications team. Process weekly PUBS acceptance and manage NYP backorder release dates from Order Management. Keep track of price, status, and carton lot changes as well as future price changes. 4. Catalog Season Management : Add new titles during catalog seasons to the AS400 system. Collaborate with production to update carton lot data and manage changes in the catalog database. 5. Digital File Distribution : Send EPUB and PDF files to Logos upon request. audiobook files and related data as needed. Assist the editorial and marketing teams with troubleshooting metadata queries. 6. Inventory and Order Management : Process receipt loads received nightly. Maintain accounts with Baker & Taylor, ensuring data is up to date. Skills and Qualifications : Experience in data management. Proficient working knowledge of ONIX, Edelweiss, Amazon Vendor Central, and Microsoft Office or similar systems. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. Familiarity with FTP sites and file transfer processes. Knowledge of EPUB, PDF, and audiobook formats. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams. Able to work proactively and with limited supervision.
