POSITION TITLE Staff Engineer LOCATION Hybrid - Woodcliff Lake, NJ OVERVIEW The Staff Engineer is responsible for independently evaluating, selecting, and applying standard engineering techniques, procedures, and design criteria to prepare, modify and edit work product. Staff Engineer assignments have clear and specified objectives and require the investigation of a limited number of variables. RESPONSIBILITIES Performs work that involves conventional types of plans, investigations, surveys, structures or equipment. Assignments include but are not limited to: design and development, testing of materials, preparation of specifications, process study, research investigations, report preparation, and other activities of limited scope requiring knowledge of principles and techniques commonly employed in a specific, narrow area of assignments. Works collaboratively with internal and external partners on multidisciplinary design/engineering projects. Coordinates the work of Engineers and BIM/CAD technicians, and others who may assist on specific assignments, as required. Reviews input from Project or Technical Managers and makes the necessary adjustments and corrections to work product. Performs work in a timely and effective manner within assigned schedules and budgets. REQUIREMENTS Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited curriculum or equivalent. Professional Engineering Registration (or Pending) Minimum of three years of experience. Excellent analytical capability; strong verbal and written communication skills. Able to thrive in a team focused environment and engage in creative, critical thought; takes initiative on tasks and collaborates with other team members. Ability to learn new engineering tools, methods of analysis, and software. Ability to apply engineering skills to a variety of different project types and conditions.
