Assist VP in directing broad aspects of global accounting operations, including establishing accounting processes and practices and improving them. Analyze the monthly executive reporting statements and prepare management summaries to be submitted to VPs and senior management for review. Submit adjusting journals to the Controller as necessary. Assist in all client rebates calculations. Identify and help implement policies to improve efficiency across accounting functions including Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable. Forecast monthly billed revenue. Assist the Controller with Revenue Recognition adjustments. Prepare, file and reconcile Puerto Rican 480 tax form. Assist VP with quarterly bonus calculations. Assist coordination with external auditors, manage the audit process for areas within job scope, and provide audit supporting documentation for interim and annual audits. Assist M&A accounting integration, leading harmonization and alignment in accounting policies and practices. Collaborate with other departmental managers to ensure accurate and efficient flow of information across integrated platforms and delivery of financial results. Participate in internal control assessments and improvements. Regularly interact with business leaders and senior level management on accounting matters. Working cross functionally with all accounting teams (AR, AP, Finance, Payroll, Acct Ops) and other departments within the Company - Sales, Production, HR. Supervise international (non-US) payroll processing and ensure salaries are received in timely manner on both a bi-weekly and monthly basis. Calculate monthly commissions for recently acquired companies. Assist Accounts Payable with supervising in all areas worldwide - receipt, review, and payment of vendor invoices, process payment requests, banking transactions authorizations (bank releasing), audit credit card statements; and maintain all vendor and colleague : Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business or Commerce with a major in accounting, or a closely related field plus an additional three years of experience in the position offered or Global Accounting Specialist or similar occupation. Will accept three- or four-year Bachelor's degree. All required experience must have included: Leading cross functional global accounting teams and mentoring a team of financial professionals. Project management accounting and revenue recognition. Creating efficiencies and managing relationships with senior level leaders. Excel, Word and Great Plains. International accounts payable experience, including receipt, review, and payment of local (non-US) vendor invoices, processing payment requests, banking transactions authorizations (bank releasing), auditing credit card statements, and maintaining vendor and colleague relationships. Supervising international (non-US) payroll processing. Merger and acquisition due diligence and post-acquisition accounting integration of newly acquired companies. Revenue recognition and financial statement preparation in accordance with US GAAP and IFRS standards. Job Site: New York, NY.
