Assistant Program Manager - Residential Services Albany, NY ( Job Type Full-time Description Equinox is a non-profit human services organization in the Capital Region. Our Adult Residential Programs serve adults with chemical dependency and/or are living with a mental illness at one of our four different locations in Albany County. The goal of all our programs is to help the residents manage their diagnosis and build the skills necessary to live successfully in the community. Holt House- Adults with both mental illness and developmental disabilities that need 24/7 support Apartment Program- Adults who live in one- or two-bedroom apartments and are ready for less structure and more independence Cohoes Residence- Adults who have a mental health diagnosis and need 24/7 support to help control their symptoms Recovery Residence- Men who have both a mental illness and an addiction that need 24/7 support. This vacancy is for our Apartment Program. Position Summary:The Assistant Program Manager is responsible for the day to day administration of the residential program assignment, including: selection, training and supervision of staff; selection of residents; compliance with OMH certification requirements and Medicaid documentation requirements; financial oversight within the program; facilities oversight; establishing and maintaining community/provider relationships; and participation in agency management and planning activities. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Carry out staffing function (selection, training, supervision and discipline) Conduct quality assurance activities, including participation in compliance program. Compile essential reports (including clinical, supervisory, fiscal, regulatory and evaluative) In the absence of the Program Manager, reviews Treatment Plans, Quarterly Case Reviews and Functional Skills Assessments according to OMH, Medicaid and internal Quality Assurance standards. Independently follows through on unresolved client and/or staff issues Ensure that all records are maintained consistent with regulations (OMH, HIPAA, etc.) Independently completes all per diem staff scheduling, orientation, supervision and annual evaluations. Performs thorough medication verification/quality assurance on a weekly basis. Monitors controlled substances on a weekly basis as per protocol. Trains staff in assessment of client needs in the first 28 days of admission including completion of initial assessment, functional skills assessment and initial treatment plans. Other duties assigned. Requirements Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long periods of time Ability to lift 20 pounds Ability to drive a car or van safely, and transport clients as needed. Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent and five years' experience in human services. One-year supervisory experience in a similar program required. Must have a clean, valid NYS Driver License. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in human services related degree preferred. Schedule: Monday through Friday. On-call responsibilities.
