Responsibilities POSITION SUMMARY: This position is responsible for coordinating and supervising all warehouse activities on a day-to-day basis. This includes the safe and efficient receipt, storage, pulling and shipment of product in a manner consistent with company, customer service, inventory control, safety and cost objectives. This position has the responsibility to comply with safety work rules at all times as well as an obligation to reinforce safety as a core value. Ensure that all policies, procedures, and activities related to food safety & quality are followed and complied with uniformly to reduce product and process variability. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Team player who aligns and upholds our values: Teamwork, Accountability, Innovation and Continuous Improvement and passion for customer and consumers Attend and actively participates in safety meetings and trainings Always ensure regulatory compliance Responsible for overseeing warehouse, distribution and inventory control functions. Responsible for planning and scheduling STO moves based on production schedules to have packaging and ingredient requests delivered to appropriate production facility. Must be able to communicate with production, quality, corporate and distribution personnel. Responsible for prioritizing projects. Ensure the safe and efficient operation of all materials handling equipment. Schedule work hours and evaluate performance of each employee. Assist Distribution Manager with operational and capital budgeting. Responsible for assisting in the planning of equipment, staffing and facility layout for all future operations. Maintain accurate inventory control procedures to ensure proper storage and rotation of product. Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work environment Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications EDUCATION, SKILL AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent. LICENSES, CERTIFICATES, REGISTRATIONS: Power Industrial Truck (PIT) Certification Driver's license OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Excellent communication and leadership skills. Able to train and motivate department personnel. Must possess working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Power Point). Possess SAP knowledge. Customer service capabilities WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Workers are required to wear proper PPE such as hair nets, ear plugs, and certain areas require earmuffs Frequent periods of sitting, walking and repetitive hand movement Exposure to changes in temperature and humidity Able to lift up to 50 lbs Ability to ascend and descend stairs Manufacturing plant is a large, open floor. Some areas have loud machineries, and some areas are wet.
