BUILDING MAINTENANCE II

Maintain buildings and grounds of the corporation QUALIFICATIONS: Education: High School Diploma and Technical Certificate preferred. Experience: One (1) year of experience in general maintenance, carpentry, plumbing, and electricity. Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge: a. Must have basic knowledge of carpentry, electrical and plumbing b. Must have the ability to use hand tools, power tools, and landscaping equipment c. Must be able to maintain a clean safe workplace and identify possible safety issues d. Ability to inspect, identify and troubleshoot areas that need repaired on buildings and grounds e. Perform preventive maintenance and general repairs that do not require a specialized technician. Examples may include repairing drywall, painting, electrical repair and other repairs to building fixtures f. Ability to clean and assist with upkeep of the facilities when needed g. Ability to maintain inventory of cleaning and repair supplies h. Ability to perform other related duties as assigned. Examples may include classroom furniture delivery, shipping and receiving duties and waxing floors i. Knowledge of playground installation, repair and safety inspections are preferred but not a must
