Key Responsibilities: - Engage with the Project Manager (PM) to receive exciting new site location updates and anticipate your next adventure! - Kickstart your day by arriving at the job site by 7 AM, ready to lead the way in transforming urban spaces. - Keep a watchful eye on contractors, ensuring they adhere to project specifications and prioritize safety with style! - Collaborate with the PM to make sure your projects are well-staffed and supported for success. - Team up with the Parks Department and contractors, making connections that keep projects moving smoothly toward completion. - Dive deep into specification books, becoming the go-to expert for project requirements, ensuring compliance and excellence. - Champion a culture of safety by making sure everyone wears their personal protective equipment (PPE) proudly. - Document and track measurements for pay items like tree planting and excavation, smoothing the path for contractor payments. What You Bring to the Table: - At least 1 year of experience in civil engineering, landscape architecture, or related construction fields. - A Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, or environmental engineering/science. - An adventurous spirit, ready to work outdoors in any weather conditions the city throws at you. - A reliable personal vehicle to get you from job site to job site, navigating the thrilling streets of NYC. - A self-starter attitude that thrives with minimal supervision, keeping the momentum going. - Experience in daily field reporting and construction oversight tasks that showcase your attention to detail. Bonus Points for: - Experience in civil engineering. - Experience in construction oversight and inspection. Location: Work on Parks Department projects across the five boroughs-your car will be your trusty sidekick as you traverse the cityscape!
