Position Overview The HRBP Lead works directly with the President and General Manager of Yahoo Home Ecosystem and their direct reports to develop and implement a People strategy which supports the business's objectives and values. In this role you will think strategically, challenge the status quo, act proactively, possess strong influencing skills, demonstrate a high-level of systems thinking and operational capability and flex strong interpersonal and project management skills. Must be local to either our New York or San Francisco office to team up and partner with our fantastic teams onsite at least three days a week. Home Ecosystem is a collection of Yahoo businesses that help consumers achieve their goals: News, Mail, and Search, all supported by outstanding Design and powerful Platforms. News, Mail and Search are the three core businesses led by GMs and supported by three horizontal teams - Platforms Engineering, Design and Strategy & Operations. The HRBP Lead will manage a small team of HR Business Partners and must translate the Home Ecosystem People strategy by setting and managing clear goals to enable them to contribute and feel purpose. The HRBP Lead will have a strong partnership with Regional HRBP Leads and their teams, including them proactively in discussions and communication in order to translate global strategies into local ones and keep the entire team updated. Key Responsibilities: Deep understanding of the end-to-end employee lifecycle (from attraction to hiring to development and engagement to exit and alumni community management). Strategic talent management: identify and chart key trends and needs grounded in deep understanding of (a) the end customer (b) the work and how it's done, to deliver to customers (c) the talent/culture/processes needed to deliver on a and b. Sufficient understanding of key enabling HR specialties in particular: talent attraction, change management and talent engagement. Depth in globally distributed Sales, Business Development, Business Operations, Product Management, Engineering and Product Operations. Strong narrative & communication skills to deliver to multiple audiences (process, tools, content). Strong analytical skills, including data strategy (knowing how deep to go when, how to slice and dice, guide others, acquire new data). Strong cross-functional leadership and operations skills - getting work done in a matrixed environment Influencing, leading and negotiating across different cultures. Leverage COEs in Talent, Benefits & Compensation -- to develop and implement programs essential to the success of the People strategy. Coach business leaders on critical issues such as DEI& B, goal setting and feedback, talent assessment, development and succession; organization effectiveness, and team dynamics. Lead organizational change activity end to end, ensuring all appropriate parties are brought in and kept up to speed during planning activity and a comprehensive communications plan is developed when the change is ready to launch. Measure and monitor key HR metrics (org health, attrition, engagement, workforce plan/budget, raising issues and potential solutions proactively. The compensation for this position ranges from $150, 015.00 - $326, 390.00/yr and will vary depending on factors such as your location, skills and experience. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary annual bonus or commissions, in addition to equity incentives.
