Medical Billing Supervisor - Podiatry

We are an established Medical Management company located in New Hyde Park, Long Island. We are currently seeking a Medical Billing Supervisor with experience in podiatry. This position requires well-rounded knowledge of the medical billing process including pre-submission review, claim submission and follow-up, and podiatry experience. In this role you will be responsible for the day to day operations of the department and oversee the entire revenue cycle. We are looking for candidates with strong critical thinking skills with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently. Responsibilities: Oversee the day-to-day activities of the medical billing department, ensuring all claims for podiatry services are submitted promptly and accurately. Supervise a team of medical billers, ensuring they follow correct coding procedures (ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS) for podiatric procedures. Manage claim denials and appeals, working with insurance companies to ensure claims are paid accurately. Work to minimize delays in payment by coordinating between the podiatry office and insurance companies. Train new staff on proper medical coding and billing practices for podiatry services. Conduct regular audits and ongoing education for the billing team on changes in insurance policies, billing regulations, and coding practices. Prepare and present reports on billing activities, collections, and financial performance to management.
