The Director of Human Resources manages and oversees all employment functions for our US, Puerto Rico and Thailand decentralized organization and reports to the Senior Vice President of the business unit. The Director partners with the leadership team and managers to provide expert advice and operational support. In this role, you will consult with staff and management on all HR areas including recruitment, compensation, career development, employee relations and compliance. Responsibilities also include hiring and supervising other HR department staff, serving as the main point of contact in the organization for all HR guidance, and coordinating and consulting with the business group VP of HR on compliance with Tetra Tech HR policies. About Your Role Oversight for the HR function including development and coaching of HR staff. Develop and implement recruitment strategies and oversee recruitment activity to ensure all recruitment needs are met. Evaluate/maintain high quality orientation, onboarding and retention programs. Oversight of benefit administration and coordination with corporate headquarters on benefits administration. Manage annual performance reviews, individual development plans (IDPs), check-ins and salary budget processes. Maintain integrity of compensation practices to ensure salaries and ranges are internally equitable and externally competitive. Manage immigration process and international assignments. Provide management coaching for managing performance issues. Lead risk review with executive management and corporate HR for employment actions. Ensure compliance with affirmative action, EEO regulations, Federal and State regulations and all other regulatory requirements as needed. Develop and implement HR policies and procedures. Counsel and advise staff members on human resources related matters. Implement corrective actions, including disciplinary actions, to improve or correct performance that is below expectations/standards. Develop strategy and objectives for the HR department. Drive diversity, equity and inclusion throughout the organization. Represent operating unit to corporate HR Council. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in human resources, organizational development or a related field is required, advanced degree is preferred. 10 years' experience in human resource management required, including supervisory experience. Professional registration (SPHR/PHR/GPHR) preferred. Experience supporting an organization which serves federal government clients preferred. Knowledge of work authorization and immigration. Knowledge of Puerto Rico employment laws required. Knowledge of international employment laws desired. Analytical skills required to extract, format, analyze and interpret data, and organize the information in a way to effectively communicate with business leaders and their teams. Comprehensive knowledge of the relevant laws and regulations pertaining to the human resource function Strong organizational and problem-solving skills and high attention to detail. Knowledge of Oracle and Taleo or other on-line similar HR systems. Proven successful record
