Position Summary: This individual will assist with implementing and deploying various Lean Manufacturing (3Q6S) activities including: 6S, Value Stream Mapping, Standard Work, Work Balancing, Cell Layout, Capacity Planning, Visual Management, SQDC Tracking, KPI's, Kaizen, Daily Checklists and Daily Audits. This deployment would focus in all areas of the facility including Encoders, Industrial Systems, Electrical Vehicle Chargers and Battery Energy Storage Systems Essential Job Functions Ensure ongoing progress of the organization's lean transformation Initiate and lead Kaizen events as required Deploy 6S and visual management across all value streams Determine process cycle times and lead times for several value streams within a product, and for multiple product lines Generate or improve Standard Work to include detailed definitions of the most effective methods to achieve a balanced, continuous flow by breaking work into elements which are sequenced, organized and consistently followed Collect and report metrics / progress on action plans Work with production to develop ongoing production metrics Support operations and quality department to improve products and processes Specify new production equipment Maintain part traceability procedures and records New work cell layouts and process flows Streamline legacy production testing procedures Process improvements on shop floor Support, enforce, and comply with all company rules and policies Other duties as assigned Travel Requirements Not required under normal circumstances May be necessary for off-site training or special site visit circumstances Preferred Traits: Action oriented - biased towards small immediate steps (Kaizen) Quality by example - demonstrates quality leadership through personal attitude & actions Communicator - consistent, effective, clear, timely, and polite (internal & external communication) Autonomous - Ability to set priorities without input or supervision in fast moving/fluid situations Strong sense of urgency Tech Savvy Education/Experience Requirements Bachelor of Science - Manufacturing, Industrial, Mechanical or related Technology degree. Min. 3 years of Experience required. Lean Six Sigma Green Belt - preferred Working Conditions Standard office environment, standard production equipment. OSHA compliant manufacturing facilities.
