Job Description: We are seeking a highly motivated candidate interested in joining an NCI-funded research group focused on understanding the genetic architecture of breast cancer and identifying novel molecular biomarkers for gastrointestinal cancers. The postdoctoral fellow will be mentored by Dr. Xiang Shu for a period of two years, with the possibility of extension for a third year. There are three major ongoing research areas at Dr. Shus lab: 1) Metabolomics/proteomics studies of gastrointestinal cancer using prediagnostic blood samples or pre-cancer tissues; 2) Single cell omics and functional investigation to identify putative causal variants, susceptibility transcription factors, and genes underlying triple negative breast cancer; 3) Mendelian randomization analysis related to cancer etiology.
