This position is located in Richmond, VA and requires local hiring only. The Impact You'll Make in a Typical Day: This position will provide ongoing safety services to clients. This position is responsible for delivering consulting services related to Safety and Health Compliance/Conformance, Safety Leadership, Risk Assessment, Training, Safety Culture, and other activities to optimize the client's Safety Performance. This position will provide Safety Subject Expertise to clients that may include serving as an internal safety expert roles.This position will deliver sessions at various regional and national safety conferences, write appropriate EHS articles, and deliver EHS Services to clients. This position will interact closely with DEKRA customer service staff, executives, and other consultants for the mutual benefit of DEKRA and its customers. This position will help identify new prospects and support business development in the sale of EHS products and services to those prospects. This role will lead and deliver high-quality client work and focus on providing solutions and technology to client organizations. Clients should see their DEKRA consultant as a long-term trusted advisor with access to a holistic portfolio of EHS services and solutions. What You'll Do: Maintain working knowledge of DEKRA's proprietary Safety products and services Provide exceptional customer service to clients using DEKRA's Safety solutions and in support of DEKRA EHS systems. Oversee and perform on-site services and general usage of the clients Safety Management System Advise and direct clients on the appropriate tools and systems to ensure safety and compliance Assess, audit, inspect client systems and operations and offer corrective actions or improvements where indicated Prepare and deliver reports of findings, recommendations, etc., to client safety and leadership teams Ensure profitability of specific client base and customer retention Identify new business opportunities within client organizations and collaborate with internal teams to support new business generation Maintain a solid working relationship with DEKRA's customer service staff Prepare and present Safety and related material at DEKRA and other conferences What You'll Bring: Education:Bachelor's Degree or greater in EHS or technical-related field Certifications:Certified Safety Professional (CSP) is required, Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) is a plus Experience: Ten years' work experience in a related field System and/or technical requirements: Microsoft Office; including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint Ability to identify the source of safety problems, apply critical thinking, and research potential solutions Professionalism and skill in verbal and written communications Ability to develop and maintain strong and genuine client relationships Personal credibility in safety able to work at all organizational levels at clients and within DEKRA Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively as a team player, and within client team as a contributing expert Experience with organizational initiatives in safety, quality methods or other organizational change processes/initiatives Excellent workshop facilitation, training, and presentation skills Experience managing large, complex projects Physical Considerations: Must be able to work in a variety of client locations, environments, and conditions. This may include climbing stairs, walking long distances, walking on rough and uneven terrain, walking through client work facilities, working in heat/cold conditions, indoors and outdoors. Must be able to accommodate working various shifts as client activities are scheduled. Must be able to withstand the rigors of extensive travel. May require difficult travel and long periods of driving. Ability to move and conduct work with full range of motion. Ability to lift 25-50lbs (luggage) Extended periods of computer-based work Extended periods of standing Travel Considerations: Domestic travel required, estimated up to 70% What You'll Receive for the Value You Bring: Compensation: The base pay for this position ranges from $110,000 annually to $125,000 annually. Actual pay is based on several factors including market location and position-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
