The PA CareerLink office in Tioga County is searching for a team player to help us help jobseekers find family sustaining jobs and employers find skilled candidates. DESCRIPTION OF WORK As Career Advisor, you will connect jobseekers and employers by providing customer-centered services designed to enhance workforce development activities and service strategies. You will utilize a case management approach to provide jobseekers with career guidance and assessments, track progress towards goals, and coordinate referrals to related supportive services. For Employers, you will assist in the analysis of their workforce needs, coordinate recruitment, and development and process job postings. To connect the two, you will apply workforce development laws and policies, refer qualified candidates to job openings, and keep our customers informed by providing current labor market information. Professional, clear, concise communication is essential for maintaining effective working relationships with internal and external customers and partners, and for documenting activities and services to meet reporting requirements. You will also coordinate with your supervisor on activities, deadlines, problems, and solutions. Other duties include developing and conducting workshops and presentations as well as attending local and regional meetings, trainings, and job fairs for our team to explain the benefits and services we provide. Make a positive difference in your community with us! Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch. Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Wellsboro. Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Successful completion of the Career Advisor Trainee (commonwealth title) training program; or One year of experience interviewing the public to collect and identify customer needs, evaluating eligibility for programs, and researching data to make decisions, and a bachelor's degree; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.
