RArea Plant Maintenance Technician (Open) Location: Moraine, OH - Filling industrial How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW? The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for the upkeep of machinery, production equipment as well as building maintenance support. The position will also support cost savings initiatives, process improvements and efficiency gains. In particular, you will: Performs repairs and installations on all plant production equipment. Completes preventive maintenance as assigned. Performs equipment inspections to ensure proper operation and safety. Communicates repair functions with production supervisors. Identifies and communicates safety hazards and quality deficiencies to maintenance management. Operates a forklift and/or pallet jack as needed to perform job functions. Enters data into maintenance and inventory software systems. Knows and complies with all safety and quality policies and procedures. Clean-up as required including, but not limited to, sweeping, washing, painting, trash removal and pick-up. Other duties as assigned. _ _ Are you a MATCH? High School Diploma or GED Required. Minimum of 3 years of prior related mechanical repair experience preferably in a manufacturing environment. Formal training in one or more of the following: General Industrial Maintenance, Hydraulics, Industrial Electrical Systems, Compressors, Pneumatics. Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and Outlook). Must have general mechanical aptitude. Ability to plan a logical approach to troubleshooting and repairing equipment. Demonstrated knowledge of addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division in all units of measure using whole numbers, fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratios, and percent. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to read and comprehend manuals, schematics, material safety data sheets and instructions. Self-starter; self-motivated; operates with a sense of urgency; ability to work independently and under pressure to meet deadlines. Detail oriented with the ability to complete handwritten compliance documentation neatly and accurately. Ability to operate a forklift. We care about and support our Airgas Families.
