Job Description Summary Come join us in creating the future of flight! As an Evaluation Engineer at GE Aerospace, you will lead a cross-functional team throughout the lifecycle of an engine mission, focusing on safety, quality, delivery, and cost (SQDC). You will define requirements, oversee hardware instrumentation, coordinate engine assembly, and lead test execution efforts, ensuring seamless communication across teams including Instrumentation, Design Engineering, Assembly, and Test Sites. Leveraging GE's advanced systems, you'll meet customer needs while creating and maintaining schedules to ensure project milestones are achieved. Your strong communication skills and horizontal leadership will guide team members and contribute to innovative test plans for LEAP and RISE Next Generation programs. Job Description Roles and Responsibilities Leads Test and Assembly organizations to high quality and on time delivery of test data to support program test plan targets. Understands and approves test and assembly requirements definition. Provides alternate solutions to best meet the needs of the test and advises on risks associated with chosen plans. Evaluation Owner in Test Vehicle Tollgate process. Provides engineering support and expertise to ensure engines are assembled and tested to satisfy current, issued engineering definition. Determines the specific expertise needed to execute on test requirements and coordinates resources and schedules to meet requirements. Utilizes in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline and analytical thinking and technical experience to execute policy/strategy. Has knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; is aware of the competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market Uses some judgment and has some ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters to address more complicated manufacturing processes with technical variety and/or interdependent production cycles. Uses technical experience and analytical thinking. Uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own teams to arrive at decisions. Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience. Leads complex projects with medium to high risk. Explains information; developing skills to bring team members to consensus around topics within field. Conveys performance expectations and may handle sensitive issues. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited university or college At least 5 additional years of experience in an aerospace or engineering position Ability to travel out of state or country minimum 10% annual Ability to support off-site test locations in Ohio (Dayton, Peebles, etc) minimum 50% annual This role requires on site presence at our Evendale, OH location and is not remote a role. Desired Characteristics Master's degree in engineering from an accredited university or college Strong oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs. Established project management skills.
