Summary: This position will provide scheduling and monitoring supervision of the SMOC basketball court and outside soccer field. In addition, this position will ensure that InterMilan (the major tenant of the indoor soccer fields) complies with SMOC usage guidelines (ex. cleaning up after use, securing the building appropriately, etc.) and has their needs met. Primary Responsibilities: Manage and coordinate programming, rentals, leagues, and clinics run by either SMOC or collaborations with other partners. Manage and maintain all fields, courts, and relevant facilities to ensure safe and continuous operations of all programs. Provide ongoing support of all sports programs, including InterMilan and youth/adult sports rentals. Assist with marketing the field and gym space and coordinate the scheduling and availability of facility, fields, and the court(s). Ensure a safe, accessible, and welcoming environment for users and visitors at all times. Ensure compliance with all facility or program-related conditions, including EEC and Head Start. Recruit, manage, develop, and evaluate monitor staff by providing timely mentoring, training, and performance management. Participate in management meetings as required/requested. Complete required paperwork per organizational policy. Knowledge and Skill Requirements: High school degree. EEC site coordinator qualified. At least one year of leadership and management experience in a social service or similar environment. Sensitivity to low-income and/or homeless individuals. Must be able to work independently, as well as, part of a team. Excellent verbal and written communication skills; prior grant writing experience desired. Valid driver's license and evidence of insurability. Organizational Relationship: Directly reports to the SAC Program Director. Direct reports of this position include sports monitors/program staff. Physical Requirement: Ability to ascend and descend stairs. Ability to drive. Working Conditions: As part of the responsibilities of this position, the Program Specialist will have direct or incidental contact with clients served by SMOC in various programs funded or administered through the Executive Office of Health and Human Services. A successful background check is required. Schedule: This is a TEMPORARY role through June 28th, 2024 with the possibility of an extension based on business needs. This role has varying hours, averaging 10 hours a week, with some additional "pick up" shifts available based on business needs. Location: This position is located at 10 Roxanna Street.
